View Full Version : Another damn exhaust question

Ya know, we really should put together a good FAQ about this.

Anyway, I'm interested in an aftermarket exhaust. And, like so many, I don't know how they sound. And, if you consider that most offer similar, modest gains, the sound (it seems to me) is what could make the biggest difference. I know TRD is well built and has a good resonance, but what if I wanted something else?

For example, what does the GReddy Evo sound like? (I know they're *******s about the turbo deal but that's not what this is about so don't flame.)

Basically, I'm looking for a "mature" exhaust, for lack of a better term. I don't want some buzzy, fart cannon (though the Greddy does LOOK the part of that, I don't think it sounds that way).

So, with the criteria of a well-made exhaust with a deep, rich sound but not too loud, what are your recommendations.

An exhaust NOOB awaits your wisdom. Thanks.

Mike

Tanabe racing medallion is deep outside the car with no ricy sounds and inside the car you can barely hear it
