It is entirely possible if the even if the GT was a speed and the Camry is an auto. The auto v6 Camry does the 1/4 in about 16 seconds which is pretty much what a Celica GT 5 speed stock can do. I have seen modded GT 5speeds run high 15s but never low 15s with the exception of Maeflyn.

People have no problems believing a Camry can beat a Corolla but not the almighty Celica GT. Well I got news for them, a Celica GT is virtually the same as the current Corolla minus the Looks fast part. :)

I have yet to loose to an n/a camry, my best bud has the V6 coupe and I beat him a couple of times.

I'll change that. My Camry is stock. :chuckles:

I believe you Daks. I just think the two models are very close performance wise due to the Camry being auto and about 700lbs heavier. It can go either way.

It can but the first 2 gears I'm up on him large.
On the highway though we're neck to neck until 180 when I start to pull away

dont put camry's down, they have sick low end.

After driving my father's v6 about a month ago (and he's had it for 7 years) I vowed that my next car will be v6. No more of this 4 cylinder sh*t.
