And GUESS WHAT???

All these figures are from our very own 2ZZ! And not only does it have a much higher stock output, it only weighs 2579 lbs! I believe the GT-S 6 speed is just around 2500 lbs, too.

love the blackish housing... that thing looks round, but mean, kinda like civic type R.... (si looks like a potato) anyhoo... keep on dreaming... crazy corolla not coming stateside i dont think.... 200 hp will rival the civic type R....

Oh, also note that the higher output isn't just the whole U.S. emissions thing, either. The Japanese Toyota site rates the GT-S at 140 KW (187.7HP), just so you know. Maybe the 2004 update of the Celica will get us 200 HP stock!

Oops, silly me...they're equipped with a sports muffler. That should explain the extra 20 hp

I don't care what the hell exhaust you put on a celica or corolla, no exhaust will give you 20 more HP (I know it's base hp, but still).

the corolla fielder, should now be hitting your local dealers in the states but the badge will say 'matrix' not 'corolla' :)

the 2ZZs there have 190 to begin with, so i'm guessing they just played with the intake and exhaust, and maybe a bit more ECU tuning to get it to 200. but those numbers are just like the numbers out of the RSX-S, especially the torque...so i'd bet money the next update of the celica will keep the 2ZZ-GE, but make more power. like 200hp, 140tq or something.

Oh, as for the Alta Vista translator, copy the entire website address into the translator, pick the language, and then hit ok. Now I know that, for example, the Japanese Corolla basically has the same address for whatever subpages it has, so the only thing you can do is highlight whatever text (remember, it has to be written text, not text as a picture file) and copy and paste over to the alta vista translator and do the same thing.
