View Full Version : Need help asap with hid install

im sorry, i dont think this thread should be here, but i need help right away. Im installing the phillips hid kit and i dont know where to put the "plug" it saids something about connecting it in the oem plug, but im confused with that. Can someone give me step by step instuctions on just this procedure. I need these lights for tonight, or my car wil just sit there. Please help.

The OEM plug being referred to is the H7 connector. This is the connector you would connect an H7 halogen bulb too.

Who makes the Philips kit you are trying to install?

thats what i did, i cut that plug off and wired the oem wires to the plug and the lights did not work... can anyone help??

Cut the plug? who makes this kit? I'm pretty sure if you name the maker of the kit, you'll get someone who has installed the same kit before.

there is just one plug, so which one do you use.... does it matter?/

Sorry man but I've had no experience with the Xenon depot kit. Maybe someone will jump in and save you that has at least seen what the wiring harness looks like. I pmed you a generic hid install guide. At least you may get some ideas from it.

Be extra careful man, do not touch the base where it connects to the burner/bulb when you're turning it. Dont let it touch other parts of your car either, the ballasts discharges up 20,000 volts initially, so you really don't want that zapping you =)
