I work for a Honda dealership....I know, I know shame on me...but it's good pay. The mechanics there are my friends and have asked them about full synthetic oil. They say its bad because it could crack my oil seals...if not it may cause leaks in my engine. I know they on Hondas all day but I know my GT-S is no Honda THANK GOD!

My question is: is it safe to use this type of oil?
If I do, should I be more carfull with the engine revs (not over revving)?
Will it cause leaks?
Once I start to use it, should I keep using it?

Please I need your help and opinions and experiences using this type of oil

Thank much in advance for all your help

I've never heard anything like that before. I know of several of my friends that run synthetic oil and have never had any problems.

I believe that's an old myth from when synthetic first came out. Now they use some additives that prevent this from ever happening. Synthetic beats conventional oil in every way imaginable.

Get at least 6000 miles using conventional oil, then switch over to synthetic.
