Hey guys, i was doing some research on the 350z's aftermarket support (cuz my dad's getting one). And anyway, there's like 3 different FI kits to choose from!! Of corz there's the Greddy tt kit, then stillen has their supercharger and now there's one called the ATI procharger!! Anyway, I was just wondering what the compression ratio is on the 350z and if the internals are as strong as the vg30dett's in the previous z...

10.3:1 compression ...
i hear the rods are not strong enuf to handle alot of boost. the greddy kit puts 5.6 psi through it

Ok, i've heard from somebody else on the nissan forum that it was 11:1.1. So, which one is correct?

10.3:1 seems correct... most places list that. this is one:

I read that the Procharger is bad news on the Z. I've seen a few threads about it fucking up engines.

350 has enough power IMO
well, enough to not be messing with boost and risking the engine...

let me rephrase. if an engine is a little week towards boosting (rods are not strong enough) and it has some nice power to start with, why mess with F/I?
