View Full Version : Help!! About to buy a Celica
I'm new here and I'm about to buy a celica. I just want to know what would be a good out the door price for a 2002 Celica GTS 6-speed with action package? What about without the action package? Thank you for your help

I would take one for $800. That would be a great out the door price. Really, check edmunds.com for invoice and MSRP info, and do a search here to see the other very similar topics that have been posted in the last couple of weeks. They will give you a good idea of what people have been paying.

It all depends what other options you wanted to go with it.....Dont get the action package...you should get an aftermarket body kit it will look a alot better IMO. But your probably looking around $25000-$27000

WHAT DO YOU MEAN DONT GET THE ACTION PACKAGE, GET AN AFTERMARKET KIT.... THE ACTION PACKAGE BASICALLY IS TRD'S AFTERMARKET KIT. BESIDES, DONT YOU HAVE THE WW KIT, WHICH IS THE VERY SAME STYLE AS THE TRD KIT?

The Action Package on my new celi looks awesome IMO. It looks better than the WW kit, again IMO.

The Action Package does look great....but I don't like the fact that there are a bunch of other celicas with the exact same. I'd rather buy a different bodykit....or better yet, no bodykit at all. SLEEPER!! :)
Is your celica a 6 speed? If so, how much did u pay for it?

Golden Rule: Do your homework before even stepping in a dealership.
The more you know the less chance they have to take you on unwanted Extended Warranties (Can be purchase through various companies), Options and Accessories, etc. etc.
Options such as Auto-Dimming Mirror, V.I.P. Alarm System, Body Kit, etc. etc. can be bought at a better price after purchasing the ride and won

I went to the dealership today and they did a search for a Carbon Blue GTS 6 speed. They found one in the whole state of California. It cost about $25,000 w/o taxes and about $27,000 w/ taxes. I know its a lot. I'm gonna try to go down on the price. How low should I go? I need help people. Thank you so much.

i agree with Personafied, get an after aftermarket, some look better than the trd IMHO. however, i do like the action package that toyota puts forth into making it "look fast." H & A's don't have this features like trd so thats a plus.

Since the Action Package is so new, and they are in such demand, they're not going to cut you a great deal. They just don't have that many available. We bought the first one our dealer received, and they have only received one other since. High demand = High price.

Hey RJAY,
Check out carsontoyota.com. They are located in Carson, CA, by LA. They have an GTS 6 speed w/ the action package for $22,699. The MSRP is $25,079. Go to the website and a separate window will pop up. Go 7 cars down and you will see it.

Daaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnn... How the heck did you manage that? If I could somehow pull that off, I'd have no problems affording a new GT-S.
As of now, I'm pretty split on whether to get the GT / GTS new w/ Action Package & sun roof or to go for a used GTS with the same.
Only thing that worries me about the used car is if it'll turn out to be a lemon, and the GT.. dunno if it'll have the power I want. Oi.

Fit, Finish, Durable Poly product that looks good and is covered by your warranty. I paid 23,500 for a GTS with Action, (loaded) and I have never seen another one the road in 6 Months, but then I don't live in Cali. Good Luck finding one (I called 15 dealers, before I found mine and it had just got in that day) Some posted up the other day and was told they aren't making them anymore. So as all the Kheads crash em, they'll just get even rarer.

We just went to check out the new Matrix at Toyota of Orlando, and found out they are receiving only one/two Celicas w/Action Package per month. They also said most of the big volume dealers are getting the same; 1/2 a month. FYI, L8r:cool:

Yes, I do have the WW kit but with a Blitz front now....anyways the TRD action package has the Mech front and not the lip. oops. Boun said it best no one wants to have the same identical car. Buy aftermarket parts and work on your car and have the feeling that you accomplished something.
Thank you for all your help. I appreciate it a lot.
Now I want to start modding my car. Right now I have enough money to buy an exhaust. Which exhaust is the best? I'm also thinking about putting a Kaminari bodykit later when I have enough money. Also I'm looking for an S2000 antenna. Where is the best place to get the antenna for cheap? Thank you everyone for your help.

Some say the TRD looks/sounds best. Thats what I like best because of fit/finish. TRD parts are the best IMO. They are also the most expensive. Plus they are warrantied and dont effect the warranty on a new car. Hope this info helps. L8r

If you go to a Body shop, they would charge you a hourly rate to custom build your spoiler. It would be very expensive. You would be better off looking at all the different wings/spoilers out there to find one you like, and then modify it to what you want if you would like a one of a kind wing. L8r
