whats the basic price for the TRD GT extended exhaust kit? and what web site has the best price for it?
how much hp gain is there? & if you have one...describe the exhaust tone compared to stock
also..should i get the trd exhaust first..or the injen CAI ?
is it really worth installing it your self? or should you have a shop do it professionaly?

The best price I have seen for the TRD Exhaust is on Partznet.com. I'm not sure about that gain....but the Injen CAI should give you the larger power increase. I think you should install it yourself because it's just a simple bolt on. Having the shop install it would be a waste of money IMO. :)

Boony is exactly right, a simple bolt on, i have pics here to show where the bolts go...i modified mine, but the tip is still the TRD...

i guess i'll just cut and paste what i just wrote in another forum about the same thing:
alright, here's the deal with the trd exhaust. the gts gains 14. the gt gains 10. the gts responds way better to mods. you got that part backwards. the thing with the "supposed" hp gain, its not 10 MAX horsepower. its 10 hp at one point in the middle of the powerband. max horsepower is only 4 or so. but you get a real nice increase througout the powerband. some people have said they hardly notice the difference but i can tell you from experience, i have one myself, the gain is VERY noticeable. first of all, when you first push the gas (stock) it feels kinda lagging until about 2.5 krpm or so. thats where i really really noticed a major difference. much less lag in the lower rpms. top end i didn't notice much. sound is great, you hear it constantly hum in the lower rpm til about 3.5 or so, then it disappears for the most part. and my god i loved starting my car the first few weeks i got this. you'll see what i mean with that it sounds so nice. now i'm just used to it i guess. its lighter than stock and the tip is way bigger which surprised me, i just never realized it was so big til i got it. it fits perfectly with the car.
as for install. the only hard part at all is getting under the car. once you do that, its so easy. unbolt the old one, and bolt on the new one.
and as i said the tone is a hum thats nice. definately nothing annoynig. you can hear it while driving until 3.5-4k rpms. and like i said starting the car is cool.
i don't have a cai yet but i've heard this will give more of a gain. maybe, but i just feel like the exhaust is the first thing you know what i mean? its like the most basic solid mod. but the CAI is cheaper and probably a LITTLE more hp. then you have to worry about possibly running lean and needing a S-AFC.
i think i wrote more than you could ever want. :D

Go with the TRD Exhaust first. I felt a gain right away. It was really easy to install...boly on took me 30 minutes to do with a helping hand. Just make sure you have some WD-40 around. I got both the exhaust and the Injen CAI and you get good gains...I got the exhaust from the dealer...I think it was $499 but he gave me 15% discount.

Try out eToyotas.com, I bought mine there cheap in a group purchase and they have a great customer service system, plus I got my exhaust faster than I should have.
