as this memorial makes it's way around several nc.org forums and collects many many thoughts let me add to this one as well.
people were not meant to die like this, so it's a very decimating tragedy when something like this happens, to both family as well as friends.
As I only knew him through occasional exchanges through the board, I can't offer any rememberances, nonetheless, I feel as though I have lost a friend as I would if any of you were to die.
Please, everyone, let this serve as a reminder. Everytime you grab your keys after having a couple/few drinks, think about the lives you are putting at risk. Swallow your pride. One thing worse than a drunk driver is a dead drunk driver. And one thing worse than that are the victims who suffer from others' negligence.
RIP Nick, you'll be missed.

My god... I'm shocked to hear this. Even though I live way out here in New Mexico and didn't know him too well, this is really sad news to me. The guy was always cracking jokes and was very lively. Just reading this made my eyes water. Being in a rollover and then reading about his accident makes me realize how really lucky I was to walk out with only a sore neck.
Rest in peace, Nick. You're in a better place now even though you'll be missed. :(

Yes..I agree, totally. I, too, have learned to appreciate life, and my life..and the others around me even more since my near-fatal-surgery.
May you rest in splendor, Nick...in heaven where you belong. :wtc:
