I am assuming you have to contact them and somehow convince them that your will be in highly visible areas and doing well in races and shows while showing off their product.
Correct me if i am wrong.
I doubt any Joe Shmoe who wants sponsorship just so he can get cool **** is gonna get sponsored.

having a sponsorship doesn't mean you get free stuff, most of the time you willl get parts at wholesale price or cost, and unless you have a super crazy car or have good connections with in the business, you will have to pay for all your mods.

I think the better...and harder full sponsorships are: tires, wheels, full suspension (not springs and shocks), brakes, a complete engine solution kit (fi, or na), and audio- not a shop, but rather a company willing to give u the components and do a custom install.

one of my sponsors is full sponsorship - real cf canards, wings west end caps, wings west blade, jdm rear garnish, and full engine plastics. couple have already been installed, the rest will occur over the winter when the car is in storage.

i workin on a contract with a big named company as a FULL sponsor for my lancer... ;)
the question is, what would that company benefit from sponsoring you????
if it's worth it, they'll do it, if not, they won't... simple as that

Man, I would love a sponsership.... too bad I never go to any shows and would therefor be useless to any company. :(

I wish i could say i was one of those people sponsored by the parents. However, they don't exactly encourage my upgrading of the vehicle. So i am fully reliant upon my sponsor of....myself.

<------- Vibrant Performance is a full-sponsor for me and the team i am affiliated with up here in the pacific northwest - teamIMPULSE (www.teamimpulse.com)
we get alot of stuff for free for our cars and get to attend alot of various events for them, this year my celica will be in their booth at SEMA. We also seem to go above and beyond what others do to help promote their products up here in the northwest because they are awesome to work with.
thanks Albert & Dino..... you guys rule !!!

:werd: It would have been better to start a new thread. But as far as sponsorship most places want you to have a nice car to begin with (read : allready have spent 5-10k in mods) before they want to put their name on your car. And even then you usually have a strict schedule of car shows and promos you need to be at for them etc.. For reatively a small amount of money. IMO it aint worth it. I would rather be sponsored by me and get a second job and go where I want when I want.

well put. Our club has a Vinyl Sponsorship where we get little **** for free and full graphics for material cost and we've got a sponsorship by Modified Motorsports where we get parts for cost ... but thats also because we've become friends with the owners of each company :).
I do know of one guy, however, that got a full sponsorship by Hyundai and they gave him an '03 Tiburon. He slapped a widebody kit on it and had a few other choice mods. Pretty niice result.
Unfortunately, he spent tons of money on an Accent before he got the Tib to convince Hyundai he'd be a good choice for a sponsorship.
