Getting Random compliments on your car?

I've gotten a the gas station attentend sayin "nice car"

to a car full of 4 chicks honking at me, then motioning to me to open my window. after I opend it they yelled "we love your car"

it happens about once every 2 months or so!

and I'm completely stock.

how about anyone else?

once a week I get some kind of compliment.

once a month I swear there is a different corvette that rolls up and say sweet car.

then there is always every other week I get a piece of **** from a S2000.

then there is always a lil kid looking out the window of a minivan or truck with its mouth wide open.

yea, i've had tons of people ask what type of car i have and say they like it(one woman thought it was a porsche..haha), stare at me, or just give me a thumbs up or something. some of it is kinda funny.

i get a lot of jaw droppers and poeple asking what kind of car i have.
some people have called it supra, and i just laugh and tell them its a celica.

I know people look at it, especially when I blow by in 2nd in lift with the CAI and exhaust roaring. Too bad it is winter and they don't have their windows down. I like the lift sound even more as a release for road rage. No need for the finger, or cutting off, a little VVTL-i is mean enough.

I get e-mails almost everyday.... my webshots folder of my pics sends me a "hit counter" every week. I usually get about 1300-2000 hits a week...

yea it's true. some girl told me nice car. also it's good to strike up conversation with other people when they start asking about my car. I appreciate all the comments - maybe excluding the negative ones but so far hasn't had any :wiggle:

What I'm curious to find out is what if I happen to be next to a S2000 either driving or stationery and they see S2000 antenna on my car what would they think :chuckles: :chuckles:

i get the compliments too every once and a while and it is still stock (for now) and one time I had this father and son come from behind me to beside me and the kid (like 12-13 yrs old) totally rubbernecked for about 1/4 mile up the road! it was pretty funny!

always getting compliments for me man.... sometimes it gets frustrating cuz i always hear it...everytime i go social, I pull up, music all loud and everything, walk out and I get talked about on the spot =0)... the girls goes nuts but the I learned that the ones that do go crazy about the car, is actually the ones that are snobby.. lots of gold diggers out there... but then again.. the hot ones can use me for whatever they want =0)

The best one I ever got was at the beginning of April 2001. I had just had my TRD front bumper installed (remember, this was before the Action Package and when they were all still JDM pieces and extremely expensive). I was on a road trip in Michigan where they have almost no imports as it is. I was at this gas station and the guy working there had never seen a car like it before. He was asking me all sorts of questions and thought Spectra Blue was the coolest color he had ever seen.

I actually get better responses on my motorcycle, especially from little kids. Sometimes I'll see them walking home from school and they'll just stop and stare. Then I'll point at them and pull up the front wheel. They'll all start jumping up and down and cheering.

I agree with you Yakko, I don't like it when people eyeball me or my car. They just need to mind their business.

I hate when you're in a hurry and someone wants to ask a million questions about the car. Sure, if I had time I'd answer them but not when I'm already late.

I get the most looks at stoplights from the cars beside me or the people turning right in front of me from the advanced green. That scares me the most. I'd hate to get hit by someone who was checking out my Celica!

I don't mind people looking/complimenting.

PS-Where do you go to get these chicks? There's NONE where I live!

I wanted white. It wasn't available in the US in 2000. :( Black doesn't go well with the gun metal wheels. It also shows swirl marks and is too hot in the summer. Yellow was close to white.

I usually don't notice when other ppl stare at my car or just try to ignore 'em.. it's like whenever i glance over stopped at a light there's always someone staring my way (freaks me out cuz sometimes i forget i'm drivin a car that "looks fast").. my grl's the one that usually tells me there are ppl lookin at me or the ppl i'm with noticin that.. especially when it's around lunch time at the High schools here

I can honestly say that i get at least one compliment a day. Whenever i stop somewhere, whether it's at a light or the gas station i get people looking at it. My car has no exterior mods also. I think it may be because there are not that many Celicas around in general which i think is a good thing. It makes the car really stand out in the crowd.

Everyone out here drives a peecup or a suv. Everywhere I go, I get the eye. If I stop, I always get compliments, specially from the women. The men, (argh..argh..I got a peecup) are really trying not to look, but ya always see that second or third look.
Bad thing though, I live in Fremont County-home of SuperMax and about 14 other prisons...So consequently, this place is full of cops. If ya go to Quik-Stop or something, the cops are always there, and man are they ever checkin you out.

well down here in california.. im always seeeeing chicks.. im still in high school and im in a YMCA social club and in key club and I meet girls all around california.. *cant remember names* but anyways yeah.. dunno.. thats where i meet them..=0)

I am a highschool teacher and all my students want a ride in my car.

The car always gets looks. I had a guy driving a Porche Carrera convertble Check out my car the first day I drove it off the lot. I have loved my car ever since :)

A few months back I was walking in the parking lot going back to my car and this young kid and his parents were walking ahead of me, well the kid sees my celica and decides to run up to it and puts his hands on the window and is peeking inside. His parents get mad since he is lagging behind, so I help em out and press the panic button. The kid jumped back and took off! lol! sucker.

Now I know why I find mysterious fingerprints all over my windows!

When i first got the car, i used to get people trying to talk to me all the time. these days, nobody cares. :) celicas are pretty common now.
