sup guys, i was wondering that when ur driving hard or if ur racing another person and during ur upshift and u miss a gear, does that hurt ue car much? and if it does...can u bend a valve that way? jus wondering cuz i miss gears sometimes and it jus pisses me off when i do it and i get all paronoid.

If you go into a lower gear at too high of a speed, you can damage your engine (bent valves). If you grind a gear trying to shift to fast it can mess up your transmission.

what about skip-shifting? Going from 4th to 6th, does that do any damage? or the other way around. on the high-way going 70mph. in 6th gear and then down-shifting to 4th for the acceleration rush to pass someone. Any damage that way?

Skipping gears upshifting isnt bad. When downshifting you should always double clutch and rev-match. Otherwise your synchros are working pretty damn hard, and like alot of us, they'll go out on you soon.
