View Full Version : Dilemma here!
The autoX is coming soon! and I need new tires.
Dont know which one to get, here they are:
Falken Azenis Sport 215-45-16
Yoko A520 205-45-16 or 205-50-16
Yoko Parada 205-45-16.
These are for GTS wheel's.
Another thing!
Where can I get braided lines, I know Rod Millen makes one but 180.00 isnt that to much $$$ or is it ok, anybody else who makes these? If so, who and for how much?
Are the TRD brake pads good? will they eat my disc?
what's the address for the R4-S pads?
Thanks.
Thanks in advance.

are the tires going to be your daily driver too or just for auto-x? if not go with the falkens you won't be disapointed. If so go with one of the yoks and check some of the board sponsers for prices on lines i htink bottle at phr has them for cheaper.

nope just for soloX.
Is that size ok? the 215-45-16 of the Azenis.

What class you running? Azinis would be the choice for STS, Kumho V700 for class that allows R compounds.
Don't bother with the SS lines or TRD pads. The stock brakes don't need any help for AX.

The Celica Brakes are in fact very good. If I were you I would not worry about it right now.
The TRD pads are made by Performance Friction and not really much better/different than stock but are suppose to be very rotor friendly.
The R4-S (Porterfield Brakes (http://www.porterfield-brakes.com/)) pads are supposed to be good. I hear they take a while to heat up and are a little dusty
I currently run CarboTech (http://www.carbotecheng.com/main.htm) Silver Streak 912's (http://www.carbotecheng.com/prod-ct-compounds.htm). A good autocross/street compound that actually has a higher friction coefficient then the R4-S.
