Does anyone know if there is a type of clearcoat that can be applied to a polished surface (lip of a wheel) that will adhere well enough so it will not come off? Reason is I damaged my wheels some time ago and they were fixed but they told me that they couldnt polish the outer lip to a high luster and also clear it because it wouldnt adhere well enough. So they powder coated the lip to get the "appearence" of it being polished...well it isnt anywhere near what it was from the factory and not as polished as other wheels I have seen. So I am hoping to get them poished but it would be great to have them clearcoated so the maintenance would be alot easier...as in I dont want to be sitting in the hot ass sun polishing them every month to keep them that way.:thumbdown So if anyone could steer me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Here is some info I found on the subject when I was polishing some aluminum stuff last year. The post is in regards to polishing a motorcycle frame so all the same stuff should apply to wheels. The Boeing product is cheap and sounds like it can keep bare metal looking nice without all that sitting in the sun repolishing :)
