I did some searches on ebay out of curousity and I can get things like exhausts and wings brand new (or so they claim) off e-bay for almost half the price. Hell they even have rims like Enkei and ADR for as low as $500 with rubber.

Am I not getting something? :wiggle:

Depends on who is selling the items, check out their ratings and user responses. I have had good luck on ebay but i have not bought anything that expensive, such as wheels, etc...

make sure to get as much information from the dealer as you can... so he can't screw you over...

i haven't had a single snag buying things off ebay.. just read their feedback profile and you're pretty safe. just avoid buying things from people with low feedback without calling them.

Definitely contact the seller and get all your questions answered before you bid. And like Jotan said, get all their info just in case. I personally have never had a problem buying from ppl on ebay.

There are some generic and uneventful things you can buy on ebay... be sure to keep a look out and you'll see the repeats. i.e. "HID"wannabe headlights (I have them too... sorta), some generic CAIs, springs... Keep an eye out for good stuff like the TRD Elegant in factory white I got for a steal :)

just make sure the guy isn't a zero bidder or typed up his description with the grammar of a 9 year old...that's usually a hint that they're trying to get rid of something fast. I wouldnt buy anything "used" off ebay....if it's not still in a shrinkwrapped package, it's not an option for me.

i use ebay all day stuff is real cheap cause sometimes there is no overhead for companies to pay so they list there and still make a profit. just watch out who you buy from.

As said before, check out their feedback before bidding. You'll be able to tell what kind of seller they are buy the comments left by previous bidders. I've been selling and buying on ebay for over 3 years now and have had very little trouble. Good luck.

I buy off of ebay, but automotive products, I won't.

Many of the vendors are high volume sellers. Which means they don't have knowledge about a lot of what they are selling, and they don't have the time to give any customer service. If your part is bad and you email them, they may never answer you, or it may take weeks, and you dont have any other way to contact them!!

I would only buy from an online retailer from a secure website.

If you are trying to get an item thats only found on ebay. Make sure they have good feedback, and plenty of it.

My friend bought from a guy who had like 2,000 positive feedbacks, and 40 or so negative. Well he thought that was good still, and the guy gave him indiglo guages that did not fit at all and ignored him and didnt give him a refund.

So be cautious

Just be careful on buying some stuff online because, there was this guy who was selling a TRD J-Spec on e-bay, but when i asked him to send me some pics of the exhaust on my e-mail, I was shocked because when he send me the pics, It was the stock exhaust of the GTS but he just changed the muffler tip to look different and he also put some TRD Decals around the exhaust, I was like WTF. Just becareful aight
