Nitrous Purge Location?

Hey guys,

The tube for the nitrous purge is only long enough to go to my front grill, and I want to either route it to the hoodscoop or to the windshield, and want to know where I can get some either rubber hosing, or some brass tubing, and how to split it into two outlets, that way I can shoot it out of both sides.

What parts do I need guys?

i don't know hwy you'd want to mount it below your hoodscoop.. 1. it's gunan be rubbing probably when you raise the hood. 2 there's enough pressure on the nitrous to strip your paint overtime.

Not the best quality of pictures, but i've got my purge solenoid mounted on the front of the bulkhead,my purge piping goes into the bulk head and then exits via the scuttle panel between the two wipers.

I would suggest getting hold of a NOS catalog which list's all the individual components needed to do the custom piping and extended tube lengths, Thats what I did. I live in the UK but ordered all my parts via Summit Racing in the States

I ran mine towards the windshield washers, actually 2 of them, so there are 2 holes near the windshield washer jets (one on each side). I used the flexible polyetheylene tubing from Home Depot, the ones they use for ice maker lines...its some strong stuff and connected it to the steel tubing from the purge line.

I ran mine with copper tubing from the back of my battery to the front grill and the tubing is too big and long so you dont the actually see the nitrous when you purge it. I say use the NOS Kit and purge it using the same size and length the kit comes with.

I've seen people extend it with silicone hosing before, you should be able to get something at a local hardware store.

Since my purge solenoid was mounted behind the engine I actually purged right out by the windshield washers.

if i were you id put it in the front grill the the toyota emblem is at, ive seen it there and it looks nice shooting out 10 feet infront of the car, or i would have it shooting out of the scoop that would look really phat.

My concern would be the personnel at the track might get hit with the purge stream I doubt they'd 1 like it and 2 would even let you run it that way...
Windscreen sounds best to me
