how many of you use a 75 shot? anything go wrong? and are you using nx or another brand. from what i understand nos is rated at the flywheel while nx is rated at the wheel. so what would the equivalent of a 75 shot nx be in a nos system? thanks!

Yes I have and I will be swithing back from 62 to 75 now that it is getting colder out. Do not spay any lower than 4k rpm's witha 75 shot. 75 shot NX is about 85 shot NOS.

I ran 100 shot NX on my MR2 for over a year without any problems, and I have been running 62 - 75 on my GTS for 2 years without any problems. Just know what you are doing and read your spark plugs.

Is the gts motor stronger then the gt motor? Can the gts hold a 75 shot cuz the compression is higher then the gt...

never used a 75 in my GT...probably won't either. not to say it isn't safe but i'm more than satisfied with the 50 :)

hmm the race is this friday.. to get new jets or not to get new jets. that's the question. i guess since i haven't found any drag radials.. i'll end up sticking with the 50 shot. so any GT's running a 75 shot? so where are the people that have had problems with nitrous? all driver error?

Don't spray below 3000RPM's. I don't know where this 4000rpm thing came from, maybe it's just something you guys who spray a 75 shot feel safer doing? Did someone advise you not to spray below 4000rpm's?? Just wondering :)

Like, how many minutes or seconds can you spray with a full bottle of nitro?

I'm not getting it, I was just wondering. I remember playing this uber game on the SNES that had nitro shots. You would have 3 nitro shots and it would blast you away :gap:

copper plugs. and one or two steps colder. looks like a majority of the people on the boards are using ngk bkr7e's

heres the deal. detonation blows stuff up and burns stuff. torque breaks and snaps stuff. there is twice as much torque applied at 2000rpm than 4000 so if your nitrous shot says 50 hp and 50 ftlb torque at 4000 rpm at 2000 rpm it would be 50 hp and 100 ftlb of torque 75 ftlb would be 150 add that to the 100 ftlb or so your engine normaly makes and you got a recipe for disaster.

4000rpm came from me, so it's official! :burnout:

The consensus is 3000rpm for a 50 shot. My recommendation for running 75 shot NX is 4000rpm. If you look at a dyno, you will see the amount of hard hitting torque at low rpm's with nitrous. I did my research before buying my kit over 4 years ago. The 2 cars I have had the kit on never had any problems.
