Hi, I am swapping a 2zz-ge engine in a celica GT from a damaged GT-S, I have the engine and the ecu, but I don't have the key.
Anyone know if I can put the power-fc ecu to make it work with my 1zz-fe key?

what about the tranny? i don't know if that will work cuz the gt and the gts have different trannys.. if your going to do a swap change it to the 3sgte motor, some one has it with over 500 hp. But good luck

Would the key matter? Wouldn't the key be a function of the ignition system in the steering column? Otherwise I believe it should be a simple swap if you have the ECU. I have no idea about the wiring harnesses though. Does your GT-S engine have the GT-S transmission as well?

the trannys are interchangeble. i know the 5spd doesnt benift the gt-s but the 6 does benefit the gt

how so?? cuz the US celi GT does not rev as hight as the GTS. so what's the point of putting in a 6th gear, when you would not gain from it??
