this probably happend at the freeway. A lot of peoples, I MEAN A LOT of ppl tend to drive very close to the car in front of them.

The DMV handbook suggests that for every 10miles, you must be 1 car behind the car in front of you. Hence, 50 miles = 5 cars, 100miles = 10 cars, etc, etc.....................
