Dec. issue, last page, "Rice Boy" magazine with the headline and deck saying "Hot Summer Fashions: Dress for the 9's even if you can't break out of the 17's" and someone's Celica all done up.

So, is the owner of that car on the board?

BTW, this does not make me want to get rid of the Celi now like some of you will undoubtedly feel. But I do wish they would have chosen one of the thousands of Civic examples. Seems a tad unfair given the relatively small sales of the 7th gen and, therefore, fewer examples of Celica rice.

the thing is.. civivcs and hondas have always been the stereotypical "rice" car.. maybe they just found something new? but that sucks.. just like the looks fast commercial.. its gonna hurt the rep. of our beloved celis :(

i saw the picture of what he's talking about in the current issue of SCC. it's the very last page with a celica and civic on the cover with banners reading a dyno shootout (which sticker gives you the most h.p.) .

I have seen that car all over the place, especially on those anti-rice websites that show the cars that have wooden spoilers, park benches, and all kinds of incorrect badging on them. I always wondered who owned that car and why the hell they would want to put that much vinyl on their car.

Are you guys talking about mine? My car was in the November issue of Super Street. They even messed up my qoute. They put "black is back....watch out" When I read that I was like WTF I never said that. Everyone already knows my car is Carbon Blue and I would never call it black. What idiots!!!

That is pretty terrible. Honda does have more than its fair share of riceboys in its ranks, but every car group has some.

SCC is the least of the Riceboy mags. The worst ones being Stupid Street and Impr0t Turner, and several others below those. At least SCC has dyno articles and engine mod info instead of just lame car show coverage and rice shop advertisements. Plus they dont sell their logo at PepBoys

I wish there was an ordinance that bars anyone from putting a nuclear symbol on their car. Maybe I should contact the D.O.T :chuckles:
