GTS with 50 shot...lots of power increase??

Hey peeps
I got a 6spd thinking to go for a 50shot...WILL it really feel the difference? like what's like the average 1/4 mile time??? Will stock tyres grip well??

figure I went from 97-99mph to 104-106mph with a 50 shot in the 1/4.. thats a BIG difference.. the trap speeds equate from going from low-mid 14s to low-mid 13s.. its all on driver at that point

i've got a 50 shot on a 6 spd. didn't get to take it to the reack but i tell you it ain't no Fast & Furious power. it does pull though i kicked it in in 3rd and it was nice...an extra boost.

Just a quick note re the fast and the furious.

The nitrous systems they are using there run on FI cars. On an FI car the difference is huge on small hits of gas.

I have a friend with a 2L new beetle, we fitted a turbo system to that, no intercooler and only running about 7~8psi, it dynoes about 155whp. We fitted the Nitrous kit back in his car after re running it all in Braided steel lines (looks the business btw), its only running a 25 shot but the difference is HUGE!!!

Before the turbo it was barely noticable even on a 50 shot, after the turbo you really get slammed back in your seat.

We haven't dynoed it with nitrous yet but the butt dyno shows a big increase.

FI will greatly amplify the effects of Nitrous as the already compressed air will release more oxygen from the gas, remeber that N20 is just an oxygen carrier and oxygen is released on compression. In addition to this the higher air speed will get the gas to the chambers faster, which means it is still nice and cold, which means you get a reduced intake charge.

I am not saying that the world will blur and your car will go all wobbly but do expect great thing s to happen :)

Your not doing somthing right..I went from a 14.7@95 to 13.8@106..that's a HUGE just for only a 50 hp shot..do you have a bottle heater..

Thats the same thing I thought untill I bought a bottle guage and noticed my pressure was at 600psi..Slapped on a bottle heater..bang 900psi and holey sh*t..

xactly waht he said.. if you cant keep the pressure up on the bottle then a 50 shot is like nothing.. I mean it feels like 10hp.. but if you can keep the bottle pressure up with a bottle heater then 50shot is incredible feelign

well i guess i am gonna invest in a heater...i just got the kit installed friday last week and mishifted on sunday on the hwy...got to use the Nitrous for a day...thank god i was not spraying...

hehe.. I dont think any tires are enough.. FWD with that much torque is impossible.. I had the drag radials on at the track and spun through 2nd gear shooting a 50 shot..

He he i have a race vid of my bro spraying in his MR2 on a 2001 lude i/e 5spd(his friend)............man it is so so so funny. the lude got its ass handed to it in a soggy brown paper bag. i wish i could post it. :(...........i havent experienced NOS yet, which is also a disappointment.......
