Got a question about launching!?

Is it the same to launch from a roll as compared to off the line? In terms of wear and tear, is it any worse than a regular launch?

What do you mean?

Do you mean coasting at 5mph with the clutch pedal depressed and engine revving, and then releasing the clutch to "launch".

I expect that'll cause less wear than a standing start launch, everything else being equal, since you won't need to slip the clutch as much from a roll.

Yea, like say in in second at 3k rpm. I hold the clutch rev up to 5.5k and launch it that way. I dunno i was just thinking, i guess its better to just punch it to first anyway. Just curious!
