Please place your vote here. It is not required for anyone to post why they voted for someone. This poll is as anonymous as you make it.

If you do post why or whom you voted for, do not do so to instigate a flamatory debate.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Duties For the new Moderator:

Stick/Unstick Threads
Clean the forum regularly (moving of off-topic threads, and or deleting flamatory postings)
Staying up to date with the ongoings of this website via the Mods/Admins forum.
Keeping the forum moving, with relevant information on meets etc...

Please vote for the candidate you feel will be best able to perform these duties.

Thanks.

I'll post why I voted. Looking at history it looks like my vote should go for the person who has shown clear history of being for the site - Before moderator issue began!

Reading the nominee posts and going as far back as last year, I look at posts that appear respected on this forum and whose words are takin most into consideration. Also look at who has leader qualities. Maturity is big and someone who will not abuse his respected position even when they are normal member.

My vote as little as it might be goes for Manny because he shows that the most. He also started the co-mod idea without adding his name or asking for himself to be in the spotlight. Selflessness gets my vote.

wouldn't it be wise for people who vote to post here "VOTED" so that we know who has voted? this serves:
1) we won't tally up too soon
2) people outside of the forum have no influence (if that matters)

V O T E D

i figure it's best not to start an ad campaign. meaning, don't state who you voted for and why.

VOTED! woo-hoo! and today was election day too... but i didnt vote for that! :D

Sorry Matt for not including you as a suggested mod in the last thread. you slipped my mind momentarily! no hard feelings. :)

but yeah Kia, 2 mods is too much for this lil forum, on celica.net there isnt as many regional forums. i.e. tri-state and northeast are one and the same on celica.net. Thanks for suggesting to nominate me too! ;)

not that anyone listens to me. i could post this thread in OT and a bunch of jackasses would ruin the poll and no one would know who did what. :chuckles: oh well.

Actually, I can see who voted for whom through the Admin panel.

No worries about fraudulant voting.

Now now Mike...although this poll is not even close to a MA vs. NY type deal (because speedee and quite a few guys hung out with us here in NY already and particapated in quite a few meets of which I was privileged to be in attendance), must I quote "If you do post why or whom you voted for, do not do so to instigate a flamatory debate." ;)

Lets not bring back memories of that stunning baseball series. I, myself to this day am quite shocked how the yankees pulled that series out. Definitely one of the all-time greats.

LoL. I must agree that was pretty funny. Well the above poster who vouched for me was from MA so theres a bit of a irony there. In any case this moderator task was not something I had really thought of until my name was called out but I can handle it if the masses see it fit that I take on the role.

Moving on although this is kinda OT for the thread, Mike what I was sayin is how Kia was sayin "NY'ers" etc..this easily plants a seed for sectional consciousness where we no longer see ourselves as "NorthEasterner's" since this is the NorthEast forum but instead as Mass peeps or NY'ers/ Thats what I was gettin at.

In any case if the above moderator nominees find it duly fit that I be moderator regardless of how they voted (I can only imagine they voted for themselves), then I'll try my best and just try to stay on top of things as the job may outline.

Well I guess I'll accept your congrats since Kia meticulously outlined the age old fact that this regional forum rarely goes 1 month with more than 25+ active posters.
