I was thinking about getting a new reciever. I was looking into the double dins but everyone says it doesn't fit. I cannot see why not but anyway. Has anyone ever purchased anything from them. They say that with the reciever you get a custom wiring harness. Does that mean all I have to do is to remove the stock unit and put the new one in with the custom harness? And I think they said something about a plastic piece, forget the name of it now, that they also throw in for free.

If anyone has bought from them or knows someone who has I would like you input.

Thanks

1. Don't buy from Crutchfield, EVER. Their prices are a joke. You can get the same prices and Circuit City (and save the on-line hassle).

2. Do buy from Timeport. Very cheap. If he doesn't have what you want, try scala1 on eBay (aka IkeSound.com). Also very cheap.

3. Double-din decks fit the Celica fine. The space is too big, not too small. You will have a half inch gap on either side of the deck, which you can fill in with some ABS plastic. I've also read that pieces to fill this in are available commercially...

4. There is no wiring harness for the GT-S*

*But you can order a homemade one at:

I've purchased and installed 2 HU from them and 2 pair of speakers. (Nearly 8 years ago, man time flies) Their customer service is great if you are inexperienced, they will sell you what you need to do the job right and they'll talk you through the process if you can take the phone out to the car.

You can definitely find cheaper prices shopping around on the net. If Carlos can't get you what you want try sounddomain.com or thezeb.com
