I have been hearing this pinging noise coming from my motor lately when I step on the gas. Is there a problem or is it because my fuel is to rich, I'm confused here?

What octane level are you using? What brand of gas?

Might be your belt tensioner

If it really is pinging, that means ur octane is too low for your engine.

i run 91 octane! Seems like there is a slight rattling noise when I pull out slowly also, something up front makes a slight rattle when the RPM's are low. How do I check the belt tensioner to see if this is causing it?

if it is the belt tensioner, it will make a rattling sound at idle. the bearing in the tensioner pulley is on its way out n needs to be replaced under warranty. looks like a common prob, get ur dealer to check it out.

octane is too low.
Maybe try getting a can of BG 44K to clear up some deposits

I really don't think pinging would be belt tensioner. Try running some fuel injector cleaner through the system and go with some higher octane gas. Doesn't the manual want at least 92?
