Will these fit?

Hi
I have a standard celica - not lowered and want to put 18"s on. Which is the best combo:
215/35/R18
225/40/R18
First is +0.6 speedo error, second is -2.9% speedo error.
Will 225 rub on full lock?? What will be the effect on the ride / handling?

Both will fit. The 215/35 would be fine as long as your roads aren't covered in potholes. The ride will be a little rougher than stock but, you will get used to it.
I would pick 215/40 ,it would give better rim protection, it looks better, and it would only be slightly larger than stock rolling diameter.

as long as you stay close to stock wheel offset, you shouldn't have trouble with a 225 rubbing.
