Ok, these tires are gorgeous !! Highly recommended, it stick to the ground, wet and dry, and I used to have Dunlop SP9000, I give the 9000 a "7", and the S-03 a "9". tire noise is very minimal.

HMMM, I am in a jam, I am about to buy dunlop sp 9000s for my celica, but I kind of want the So-3s but they are too expensive. WOudl you recomend the so-3s over the dunlops that much? Right now the only other tire I'm looking at are the Toyo T1-s'. Do you have any experiance with those?

Sorry I don't have any exp with the T1's, but I definately will go for the S-03 over the 9000, especially you live in Cal, which it rarely rain I guess. For dry road, the S-03 is better than the SP9000, I can even say that Yokohama A520 is better than the SP9000 on dry.

really! you think the stock a-520s are better in the dr than the sp-9000s? I'm more interested in dry perforamnce than wet. It doesn't really rain down here, and if it does I always drive slowly so it doesnt realy matter. Hmm I have to find another $100 somehow so I can get these so-3s. ANy more info about these 3 tires?
thanks

Yeap, but the A520 is VERY noisy, and it doesn't last as long as the SP9000. If you don't care its noise, it's better to go with the A520, because it's cheaper and more stickier on dry road than the SP9000, but on wet road, it's another story. And of coz, the S-03 is better than these 2 tires.

If you look at the rating in tirerack.com about these 3 tires, it's pretty accurate, in dry traction, people rate the sp9000 0.1 better than the A520, but I personally think that the A520 is better since I've sat in a car (2.5RS) with this tire on the twisty track in Louden New Hampshire, about after 8 round, all 4 tires pattern almost got destroy, but it's still very sticky.
