hey guys...
i was just wondering if anyone has mounted their sub or subs on that "trunk lild thingy" you know the one that covers up what you have inside your trunk, that thing that goes up along with your liftback? you know what i'm talkin about? if so how is the quality? and would you recommend it?

That thing is really not that sturdy or strong I don't even see how it would be possible to mount a sub on it. They are to heavy.

yea that's what i was thinking too. i want to get a sub or two but i don't want to get a box and/or take up too much sapce. plus, i'm not really going for "rip off a woman's clothing" bass, i just want some quality thumping action that would make one "wet." i'm looking into those bazooka tubes right now instead of a real sub, because it's small and it doesn't need an amp. and i might get it tonight...if anyone objects let me know now before 5pm!

Honestly I never considered mine all that loud. I don't see how your going to get some quality thumping without some kind of boxed sub.
I'd be very skeptical of a the fake sub deal.
Honestly go up to your local audio store and listen to think sounds like you might like the JL w6v2 model. A 10 inch would suffice I think. IF you ever need trunk space it's simple enough to unhook the sub and pull it out.

I'm not the right guy to be asking this as I'm relatively new to car audio. But as far as I understand to run a sub properly you need a seperate aftermarket amp.

i got the bazooka tube last night, but i'm gonna return it. i got it cause my friend said that he could install it. but when i showed it to him he was like i can't do it cause i have to connect it to the battery. now, i don't want to pay extra to install it and i'm not the greatest with wires and i don't really wanna take a chance.
now i'm gonna go to best buy where i can get my other friend's discount and have him install it and yea i'll be paying more but i'll be getting better quality stuff.
o mike 00...this tube is has a 50watt amp built in.
