Is it just me, or are the rotors on the wrong side? I thought the gasses were supposed to escape out of the slots.

Slot direction is inconsequential. They are only there to "clean" the pads as they wear to prevent glazing. In or out doesn't matter. What matters with brake rotor orientation is the VANE direction. The cooling vanes built into the rotor should always open away from the direction of rotation. The latest trend is for the cleaning slots to go "backward" because this makes for a stronger rotor. Instead of being inline with (and possibly inbetween) the cooling vanes, by running against them the slots are now supported by a number of ribs/vanes.
And this Baer brake rotor specifies the "wrong" direction as proper.

That's what happens when you bling a car out too much. The trend I'm seeing around here is that the real car enthusiasts are lashing out against the virginia riceboy syndrome (honda prelude base model with V-TECH [yes, spelled wrong] stickers) and are making clean clean cars, debadged, stickerless, tasteful. Nice clean paintjobs help.

Thanks for the info vvtlikick. My old crossdrilled-slotted rotors had the arrow going in the way I've always seen them (opposite from your Baer pic), but I suppose it kinda makes sense.

I dig the targa top, but when it comes to the graphics, lambo doors (on a 'stang ?!?!?) and all that other crap... it just seems they didn't know when to say when.

If I was going to spend that much money on a mustang, I would buy this and have Saleen "massage" it for me.
