Anyone know if the matrix 6speed tranny the same as the Celica 6 spd tranny or are they different?

Yup, they're the same, and also the same as in the Vibe GT and eventually the Lotus Elise.

well if their the same then i can offically say that the us 6spd gt-s tranny does not directly bolt on to the 1zz

Why would it? The 1zz has bolt points for the 5spd tranny. Only Euro/Jap spec GT's have 6spds.
