My major problem with them is that they seem dark. They light up and can be dimmed and all, they just seem farly dark. Currently they are on a 5 fuse and grounded to the white w/ black strip wire running from the cig harrness, should I move it up to a 10 fuse?
Also they seem to be making this high pitched whine sound whenever on. But after searching the forums I am guess that's a normal thing?

Those look like the same ones im going to get from speedhut.com. are they the cobalt blue ones? I was going to get white faced cobalt blue to match the rest of my gauges. the high pitched ring is normal. thats your inverter. however for the brightness, what inverter did you go with. speedhut has 2 of them. the upgraded one is supposed to be brighter. wire you are hooked into shouldnt matter if you pull more than 5 amps, the 5 amp fuse would blow. I have my old gauges tapped into the green wire with white stripe (i believe) on the back of the gauge cluster.

That's where they came from. But they have a black face and appear silver during the day light hours. I got the upgraded inverter, and I'm damn glad now. I can't imagine what they would look like w/o it, that pic is as bright as they get.
I just shot off an email to speedhut, maybe there's something I am missing about these things. I've seen watches brighter then this. Also, the green blue switch is barly noticable with the cobalt blue.

i tapped mine off my parking lights,...and grounded it in the engine bay. no whining and they're pretty bright too.

Maybe I should try another ground.
Speedhut said a little whining was normal and I could wrap some foam around the inverter to quiet it. But it sounds like it's coming from the gauges themselves...

I have the reverse indiglo black-faced w/white fonts that glow cobalt blue with the upgraded inverterfrom speedhut.com. Mine glow plenty bright for me & am very happy with them....and the whining sound definitely comes from the inverter and is normal.

How do u make the other part blue, too? not the actual gauge part but the part where it displays your gas and other stuff. I want to change mine so it looks blue since I got blue gauges, too. Where can I buy bulbs like that? For how much? Are they hard to install? Thank you!!

It's an interesting process, you have to solder off the old LED's and then solder on new blue ones. In my case I replaced all the gauge LED's with reds (to make the needles red) and then replaced the gas/temp LED's with blue. Here's the guide: http://www.teamcelica.com/thehammer/ledinstall/ledinstallation.doc
Here's where you can buy the LED's: http://teamcelica.com/store/leds/
TheHammer is really friendly and the install is not as hard as it looks.

That pic up there is as bright as they get. I have the upgraded inverter too, honestly I can't imagine what they would look like w/o it.
