How loud....

Hi guys this is my first post. Ive been reading here for two years but finaly decided to log in. I know the intake questions get old, and it's a toss up in performance between the aem and the injen. My question is how loud are these intakes under full throttle in a 6 spd gt-s? Do they both sound the same? I have a friend with a 2000 civic si with aem intake and that thing sounds unreal. can anyone give me some input on how the gt-s sounds compared to the si?. Since the injen and aem are a toss up, i'll just get the one that sounds the best. thanks for your help.

They sound pretty much the same. I would buy which ever one is cheaper. It's not much louder than the Si, until you hit lift then it gets really loud.

I would recommend the aem. It has a very nice growl at low rpms and screams at high rpms.

Not sure if its gonna be as loud as that Z28 you are getting rid of though ;)

actually the cold air on the z hardly made any diference in sound. I think intakes are louder on smaller displacement engines than on big ones. I don't know why that is. The flowmasters sound good though.

the Injen flows better at high rpms than the aem

it gets pretty loud over 5K :)
