If anyone is curious, here is the difference in looks between the stock 16s and a set of K1racings in 15x7. The tires are 205/50-15 on both, so the overall rolling diameter is about 1" less on the Koseis.

Sorry about the dirty car, but the pollen around here makes it really hard to keep the car clean...

Looking good Scapamouche. Paint those bitches black. :). BTW, how is daily driving with them since now you've had them for a while.

Umm... I'm not daily driving them. The ratio change since they're smaller than the stocks is not to my liking. Plus, they're RACE tires :) I'll keep them fer the track!!

I'd have to say that I HATE black wheels, though; always makes my think of old clunkers with black steel wheels.

They'd be easier to clean that way, though. After 2 days of autox, the wheels are a nice shade of grey from all the beake dust off my pads (Project Mu front and rear.)

real nice. i can see the fender gap has increased even tho the car sits lower.:P What offset did you get them on? how much? I'm thinking about buying a set for track use. did you weigh them before mounting the tires?

Darn, I'm kinda curious about daily drivability. I'm still working out getting cash for wheels and tires. Anyway, yeah I favor dark rims (black, bronze, or gunmetal) over light ones, but different strokes for different folks.

Well, Raymund, I did it the easy way: I called Tire rack and ordered the set they said would fit. I'm actually not sure what the offset is, but they cost $139 ea. With the tire monted, they weigh 36 lbs on my home scale, but it's notoriously inaccurate.

thats a real good price. i have the stock oem 15"by 6&1/2 for track use and i need to replace it with a 7"width so i can properly fit 225s.

ps. i hope to run into you someday. you have a real nice set-up

I'm planning on attending the Hotchkis track event in June, and the Driving school the next day. In fact, I'll be sending out the chaecks and forms tomorrow....

Maybe then?

I've got the same wheels & tires as scapamouche.

The offset is 38mm. They clear the front brakes by at least 1". The wheels alone are said to weigh 13.5 pounds. With 205/50/16 Victoracers mounted, balancing weights and centering ring, the weight is 34 pounds 11 ounces according to the digital scale at the post office near my house. I didn't weigh the stock 16" set up, but I think the Kosei set up is 4-5 plunds lighter per wheel.

Also, the tire is about 5% smaller in diameter than the 205/50/16 stock size. I noticed some improvement in acceleration with these on.
