Thats why i dont bother talking to those Civic folks. Even my friends who hated on civic now own them and think their car can take anything.... BTW they think my GT-S aint **** too. o well

funny thing is most of those people who talk $hit are people with stock cars or very small HP freeing mods on their cars. They take pride in what others did with the car that share very little with their cars other than the shell. No need to try to convince them the car is fast, just post up a link of Illusive clip spanking Corvette and a EVO VIII I believe it showed the time on the board. If they say the time Illusive did was bad let them know its a slow track, many 11 sec cars can only do 13 sec because of elevation and stuff.

doesnt sound like they would even believe a video clip... they all talk about HP..HP HP HP!!!!!!!! wow... then one guy says power to weight ratio and they continue about HP HP and HP!!!! the funny thing is... is that if we do go by HP the Celica GT-S has more HP? i find that thread entertaining. It makes me feel smart. :gap:

Yeah, we have our share of people like that on this board, just like any other. No matter what you do, you're going to have that small percentage of owners of a particular car that are going to make the majority look horrible.

With Civics, there are so many ricers that own those, it makes those of us in the Honda crowd that are serious about performance look horrible. But hey, it comes with the territory.

One conclusion can be made out of that thread: Most Civic owners believe the Internet is the only source for proven facts and information, as long as its proves their hypothesis that their car is better than any other make/model/brand, thus making everyone else inferior and themselves superior :)

There are always gonna be ignorant haters out there, regardless of what car they drive. Just ignore those morons and only pay attention to the real enthusiasts who can actually respect cars other than their own. Incidentally, I've run into both kinds of Honda owners ( knowledgeable ones I completely respect AND ignorant fanboys) in the past week.

Nah, don't generalize the bonehead comments of a few trolls to most Civic owners. That way of thinking will just bring you down to the same level as the fanboys. I've met many Honda guys whom I respect and vice versa. Hell, I myself was a Civic owner back in the day.

its kinda funny cuz i tooled on a 96 gsr last night with an intake and exhaust and he pulls over after and says how did you do that? what do you have under the hood? are you spraying?.....i actually took the time to sit down and explain that it was his mistake for picking a race with me on the highway (rolling at 45 mph) and the gt-s' ARE NOT as slow as honda peeps think...and i told him i was completely stock....

...and that my wax job made the air flow over my car more efficiently LMFAO
