Im curious as to the weight of our factory rims. Im lookin to get a new set but I want to try to keep the weight of the rim the same.

I've never weighed it myself, but If I recall correctly a OEM 16" GT-S wheel weighs 19lbs.

Thanks. I want to make sure the rims that I get are the same weight or less. Id like to keep them as light as possible, but I hope Im not going to sacrafice any strenght.

cool so 22" 17s shouldnt make a huge difference..especially with smaller tires

GTS rims alone are 19.5lbs, and with tires weighs 38lbs.

Yep..surprisingly tires do weigh alot. Check out this chart from Toyo Tires and you'll get the idea:

I seem to remember the stock wheel and tire weighing around 25lbs.

I was talking about wheels and tires (stock). Apparently not too many people drive without tires.

But tires vary in weight. Generally, it's important to determine wheel weight without tires because not everyone buys the same tires and they don't all weigh the same.
