I was wondering how I go about reading ECU troublecodes. I assome I need a reader.... but where can I get my hands on one?

you need an OBD-II tool to read the codes... theres a general one that you can get from an autopart store (medium expense, maybe 100 or so.. dont really know) and theres the toyota one, which runs for 3-400 dollars b/c it diagnoses specific toyota trouble codes.
another option is to use the sofware for palmpilot and cable attachment made by a company called digital tuning. the software is called pocketlogger and it works well for any car that has the obd-ii port (like ours)
