Ok I was wondering something. Since I have a 97 Civic EX coupe with the 93-97 JDM GSR motor swap..and I sent my GSR motor to Golden Eagle and its been rebulit, and I talked to Golden Eagle about the 2zze motor and they said they could do the samething, excpet sleeving it, and they said they could put JE pistons and Eagle rods in that rebulid...and since im using Hondata on my Civic, I wanted to know is somethin like hondata for the GTS? cause the GSR motor I have and with the Full Race turbo I have can get up to 500whp+ and since if I sent the motor to GE, Could the 2zze motor could reach the same goal? if not then if I could get 400whp outta it and still be able to hit lift then I would apprecaite it...and what turbo would you all recommend me going..or go custom?

To reach that goal you would need full race turbo setup on your car, and a full fuel system, as well as powerfc (no there is no hondata for toyota) Not only the motor work needs to be done you might want to consider a better tranny or cryo the one you have. With that much HP you can bet there is alot of wheel hopping going around in a front wheel drive car.

Stick with the Honda's man trust me! I just got done helping my friend hop up a GSR with some serious internal work, plus tons of headwork, along with a ported throttle body, a Jackson Racing supercharger pushing around 9 pounds, along with a crapload of other goodies, and a 25 shot of NOS to cool the charge, and all I have to say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! LS1's are a piece of cake, I need to take some pics of some people driving Cobras and such after we get done toasting their ass, cause the looks they give are priceless!!!!!!!!!!! :) I love it, now dont get me wrong I love v8's as well but it makes my day just to see their faces when they get smoked by a little GSR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However you can make some serious power out of the 2zz also if thats what you truly want but Honda/Acura motors have been around a long time and have virtually remained unchanged for the most part in the last decade or so. Plus to make the same amount of power on a 2zzz compared to a Honda motor will take some major $$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!

Its gonna be more expensive to do the 2zz. There is great demand for honda parts so there are multiple manufacturers of the same parts so they have to compete, therefore prices are low. I think you should build the 2zz if you can afford too. #1 Its way more fun to have a toyota because there are less fast Toyotas than Hondas so you will be somewhat unique. #2 You will create more demand for the toyota parts, so they will start lowering prices for the guys who come after you and more people will want to hook up Toyotas. #3 It just looks way better. #4 Less chance of it getting stolen because its not a honda (my freinds Type-R has been stolen twice good thing he has Lo-Jack). #5 I build hondas also but they are no fun its too easy, you can build a honda race car with off the shelf parts, thats y every one has one. You just can't be unique. #6 ITS NOT A HONDA.

Six reasons to buy a Toyota. Don't go buy the Honda NOW! :)
