ok right now i have 18x7.5 MSR wheels with a +45 offset wrapped with 215/35/18 Nittos. Now if the offset is lower on the rims would they stick out the side slightly more? Or am i thinking about something else. If I am right can someone tell me a good offset for wheels. Thanks!

yes the lower the offset more it goes out for example for that wheel i would asume a 35 offset or even 30 but i dont know if by being an 18 it would rub against the fender for a 30 offset

how low your car is will affect how much you can have your wheels stick out

By mistake, I have 35mm rear & 45mm front. It takes bending & twisting to see the difference. I plan on fixing the difference with h&r spacers for rear rotation of the 45mm's. Mine do not rub in the rear (35mm) & I'm also using 215,35,18's. I can slide my hand between the rear lip & tire. I have an h&r drop.

:wtf: This is about offset & not width. All of mine are 18x7.5 width. The 35mm offset is closer to the center of the wheel than the 45mm offset which is more positive. As the offset becomes more positive, the further in the wheels sits when mounted.
My rear wheels (35mm) technically are 10mm further out than my front (45mm) ones. It is not noticeable & my original plan was to buy spacers to push my rears out anyway. I'm buy 2 more wheels or spacers for the front to make all of them 35mm when I rotate them to the rear.

No, the rear mounting hubs are set 10mm deeper in the rim. Theoretically, the entire wheel is 10mm further out. The width is exactly the same. The front face of all 4 wheels looks the same.
