Anyone know anything about refinancing car payments?
My montly payments are gh3y. $402 a month with a $10,000.00
down, 5 year term, so in 3 years this baby will be all mine

Should I go to a bank to refinace? I heard once you past a certain amount of time when owning the car, they won't let you refinance.

Terms are typically value vs amount still owed.
If the value is above the amount owed, most likely you could get re-financed. Rates are dependant on who you go to and past history.

well... when i bought my car, i put down $5000 and my payments were $438/mo for 66 months.
11.9%.. .i didn't have much credit.. and nobody would cosign for me

i recently refinanced through a local credit union, and my payments dropped to $360/mo for 60 months but I got an extra $600 out of the deal, so I pretty much added another 6mo to the loan

I borrowed $16000 at 8.5% when I purchased the car in March-00, my payments were $398. I refinanced it 2 months ago at a rate of 5.75% dropped my payments down to $208. Go to the bank!
