Help...whining noise w/ new stereo?!?!

As the title says, I am getting a whining noise noise w/ my new stereo that has just been installed!?!?! As the RPM's get higher the whining gets louder!!! Is something not grounded properly or is it some other wiring issue??!?!! I am taking it back to the installer tomorrow but I just want to what the problem is and what to tell them. Thanks in advance for the help!

you have a problem with your grounding points. make sure you're grounding at the same spot that the old stereo was grounding... and the wires might be running parallel to something else thats tied to the tach.

do you have an amp in the car???? if so did you run the power and rca cables on the same side???
if so my bro has the same prob run the power along the door side and run the rca cabled down the center console. this should solve prob

If you just added amps and still have the stock head unit that is the problem, I had that same whinning until I got a new head unit
