2000 Celica GTS vs 2000 Mitsu Eclipse GT

I am 17, and looking to either get a 2000-2001 Celica GT-S or 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. Want something that will last me through college and is sporty and reliable. Any suggestion on which car to go for? or any other suggestions? Thanks

This is a Celica board, these kind of discussions tend to be very very one sided. You will definitely be able to get an Eclipse much cheaper. Cuz Mitsubishi actually tries to sell their cars. Right now you could get 0.0 financing, or be a smarter person and go with 2.9 financing for a little longer on the Eclipse. I have a lot of friends that drive the 3g Eclipse. It's a great car. Of course my preference leans towards the Celica; I own one. The Technical Discussion forum doesn't get very many hits, post this question in the General Discussion forum and you will get better results. Or personal message me for more information. Where do you live? People could probably help you out with comparison's in your area...
