What I did was fill it with this stuff then I used touch-up paint over that.

...but is it the law to have a front plate on your car in IL? In CA they will nab you for no front plate.

Same problem here.

Screws are too long. Can't find screws short enough that won't dig into the fender.

hm.. i dunno.. to be on the safe side i would keep it on.. not saying all cops can be mean about it.. but there are those that do need to meet their quotas and u can be an easy target.. but then again.. it does look nicer.. so i dunno...good luck bro

I've got the same problem. No plate on the front bumper looks better, plus we don't have plates for the front in FL. What I'm going to do is buy the door sill plates that Momo makes in Carbon Fibre, then cut them down to cover that big hole in the bumper.L8r

How about finding those "CELICA" plate to mount it at the front. Just like the one they show in the Celica Sports M.

Any one know where to get them?

actually i used to have a TRD front plate.. but its still not a real plate.. and i could get in just as much trouble as without one completely.. true.. it does cover the holes and looks better than a real plate.. so ill deffinietly give u that..

on another note i did actually find something to cover the holes.. i got fed up at looking at them so i went to murrays and i found these..i dont know what theyre called.. but theyre kinda like those screw clips that hold our engine plasics.. but wayy smaller and a little more attractive.. they were already black so its perfect for me.. i just popped them in.. theyll do i guess.. for now at least.. but thanks everyone that gave suggestions

long time since ive been here but this is how we got around dat licence plate in front here in Texas. We just mount it inside on da windshield.

how can u get a ticket for having ur platez in da front windshield? all that da law USUALLY states is that it has to be on the front of the car and can be seen.

yeah that law is absolutley rediculous... just last night there was some cop in the right lane and i was in the left.. and he was a little in front of me.. thank god there was some buick in front of me in the left lane cause the cop was going like 25 in a 40.. and the buick was going like 20 so he couldnt get behind him.. i had no complaints cause i was riding behind the buick.. but i was almost positive he was after me cause of the gay plate.. but then he cut me off and pulled the buick over.. stupid cop.. this went on for like a good 10 min..

what did he pull da buick over for? and theres no reason u cant pass a cop if theyre doin under speed limit. just stay about 5 under da speed limit to stay safe.

i just got the speed limit and hit cruise

yeah i dont know why he pulled the buick over.. can a cop pull someone over for suspicion??.. cause the buick really was making an effort to not let this cop get behind him.. which is really stupid because if a cop wants to pull u over he will.. the idea with driving around a cop is maintain speed and blend in as much as possible.. not play games.. but oh well.. better him than me i say.. lol.. i just paid my ticket for blowing a stop.. i definitely didnt need another one..

Yeah i had a similar prob. I got my license plates in the mail and my fiance was helping me put them on. He gave me the screws to hold. Well actually one of them. I was holding a bunch of trash in my hand too. He went to go get another screw driver and i walked to the dumpster to throw the trash in my hand away. WELLLLLL i'm a dumb blonde and i threw the screw away too. So i felt really dumb. We ended up having to go to pep boys to get another screw. None of the freakin screws fit right. The closest I could find was a little long and sticks out a little but it looks normal. Just isn't on as tight as I would like it. :stupid:

You can get led "plate light" screws over in Asia. Got mine in Hong Kong. Bout 40 bucks canadian. They screw into the holes, hook the wires up to the parking lights and a ground of some sort... and voila. I'm guessing it might look ugly in the day, but it doesn't look bad at night - I left my plate on, cause that's the law up here in Canada, so I couldn't tell you what it looks like without it. (It's not visible during the day with the plate on)

Also - gotta check if their legal; apparently they're not in Ontario, which cost me 110 bucks. Still... it was worth it.

This is kind of a useless post, cause I don't think you can order it -just FYI is all... if you happen to be out in Hong Kong, pick some up.

To plug the holes I went to an automotive store and bought black plastic plugs. I dont know what there called, but on the back side it looks like a christmas tree...similar to the fasteners that hold in interior door parts to the door
