Well you are in the UK, most of us are here in the US, it will be a new car for us . So what I was after if there is any new specs yet leaking out . Anything new I mean what hasnt already been posted on here.

Oh ok, only heard on here myself that it'll be pretty much the same car as whats available in UK and Japan. Dunno anything about the special edition Evo's that'll be out in the US tho (if any). :/

just wait till it comes out (whever that is). Nothing people say is fact. There are rumors that it will come out in June.... then others say Jan 2003. Some say it will have 250hp. other say 310. Some say it will be the EVO7, and other say the EVO8. So who knows.... even the dealers talk out of their ass.

the EVO with 310 hp and 0-6- times of 4.6 seconds should be out in the 4th quarter of 2002.. With a base price of 20k to 24k...I am seriously thinking of getting one!

Well if those rumors are true, I will get one myself, but I think the price will be closer to 30k

u kidding me? right after i said that no one really knows what the deal is heh. The GSR version i believe costs around $25k in japan so it's pretty unlikely that we'd get it for less. I'd about 28k. But it slightly over the celica gts, rsx type s range and a little more than the wrx. Forget the UK price, everything there is way expensive =) If mitsu priced it in the $40s no one would by it... to many "nicer" cars to buy in that range such as the boxster, slk, m Z3, etc. I think it's possible that we'll see about 300hp. That way the WRX STI doesn't blow it out of the water when it's released here. Along with the 350Z, rx8, turbo neon and other cars soon to be released that will all have 250-300 hp.

Anyone see that chinese movie that Fast and the Furious was supposed based on? I forget the name of it. It's about 2 gangs than race each other... along with the usual love, death, loyalty storyline. They have some badass EVO6s in it, and older style wrx.

OH MY GOD this movie is the BEST!!! i saw it when it first came out in 1999.... i fell in LOVE with the EVO 6...

Back then... a twin nitrous set-up was unimaginable...i was so amazed :laugh:

I HAVE THE REALLLLLL INFORMATION!!!! i went to the car show down here and had a good talk with the mitsu rep...well the evo will have 265hp and will be single turbo and all wheel drive it will be under the 30 cap range but will go over once you put all the options..it will come out next year as of January 2003.

heh, naa, asian racing movies are badass. More about the cars actual performance and driver skill. I thought it was dumb as hell how they were racing with their chicks all the time heh. Especially after he killed his first girl. I think some of the dialog was lost in the translation too. That part the father said about how he can just have another son if that one dies was kinda funny. =)
