Well, I bought a case of 24x blank CD and record some music to listen in my car. When I put it in, it doesn't reads and I thought it was dirty, so use a cd cleaner to clean the lens. I put back the record CD in my CD player and it still doesn't work. I'm thinking the lens is stuck, but how could it be possible, it's only 1 year old.

Or could it be possible that the 24x CD-R just mess up the CD player memory. :)

I suppose to be putting my car in for service, but things have been coming up. I can't survive without listening to something on the CD player. Radio suck.

I've burned a couple of 24x CD's and haven't had any problems. I used Roxio 5.

uh what brand are your CDs? i have 24X cds (TDK) and they work fine. 16X memorex black CDs also work fine. no problem.

maybe you bought cheap CDs? dont get CDs based on price or speed alone. find good brands (TDK, memorex, sony, yamaha, etc) and find them for cheap. i bought a 50 pack of 24X TDK cds for $13. now THAT was a good deal!

Haven't had any problems with 24x at all. Even the 24x 80 min Staples brand ones work perfect.

The CD I bought is IMATION at Office Depot. 100 blank CD for 19.99. Very good quality.

Well, I guess my CD lens is stuck or something.

I guess this will be a good reason to buy a aftermarket headunit after the stock Cd is fix. I have all the necessary stuff at home to hook up the whole system, I just never got the chance to browse for a aftermarket headunit.

I just put in a Def Leopard Cd in, that I bought from the store and it work. Before this, I put in a Tupac CD, that was also from the store and it didn't work. I think my CD player got a mind of it own now.

I guess it's into heavy metal now. :)
