I want replace my factory low beams with a blueish tinted xenon bulb...I'd like to know what bulb is out there that looks closest to being HID. And is the factory bulb 55 or 100 watts? Thanks!

I had a set of Silverstars, weren't that great. I had 2 sets of Naxos bulbs that were 100w that were really white. They only last 1 year though. If I were you, I'd save up and invest in a HID conversion kit.

Any blue/purple bulb will be good for looking like HIDs, but you're not gonna be able to see very well with them, especially in rain.

The best compromise I`ve found are the "PIAA xtreme white" H7.
They are bright white with a 4150k "color temp" but, they have good visibility.
If there is an ocasional visability problem in rain or fog, I simply turn on the stock fog lights. That`s what they`re for.
For me, installing HIDs aren`t worth the trouble.

They are about $50 US a pair and will last a year or more depending upon use. I use them for at least 45 minutes every night and they have lasted for over 13-14 months.

I also have "B1 hybird M4" hyper whites in my front parking lights (also rear license plate lights) and I`m quite pleased with the overall appearance. Police never give them a second look. ;)

The factory bulbs are 55 watts.

Don't get ricer HID-look-alike bulbs. While they are able to get the color pretty much right, they are about 30% as bright as actual HID's. So even though the color is right, it is dead obvious that you are running ricer bulbs. Basically, stay stock or go HID. The conversion kits aren't even that expensive now.

Think PIAA's are a bit better than stock but nothing compares to HIDs

Get the silvania silverstars... They are the closest you are gonna get to HID bulbs, and they at the stock 55watts, and look really bright white... and a small hint of blue, its perfect.

Yep sylvania siverstars are great IMO I have had mine for a while now and they get ran at leat 3 hours a day almost everyday of the week. Much better than stock and they dont have they nasty yellow look about them, but def. not HID's quality light output. The best thing to do would be to get HID's I hatge to say it but yeah its true.
