ok I have had my celica for quite a while now and after being on the boards for quite a while i am not sure i know what people are talking about when they say lift is that just when vvt-I kicks in or is that something different i have a 01 auto gts and also isnt vvt-I supposed to be dissabled when the cel light is on i had my od cord disconnected and it was on but i was still getting the kick around 6000 it just wasnt too strong but maybe it was normal not sure any help is greatly apreciated

When people talk about lift they are referring to the cam profile switch at about 6k RPMs. You can feel and hear the difference when the profile switches.

A check engine light will not disable your lift.

Do you realize that you said all of that in one sentence? Try to break up your text a bit, it's kinda hard to read and gets a little confusing.

Is your car really loud when you go into lift? I reached 1000 miles today and wanted to try it for myself. It was really loud.

Last weekend I drove a S2K and I hit lift in that and now this past saturday I rode in 2 GTS's and they both hit lift many times, Man why couldn't I have afforded a GTS when I bought my car, I WANT LIFT!!!!!!

Yeah i have gone into it with an intake and it is very loud, partly due to my trm exhaust though. but does it not work in the break in period or are you just not supposed to use it. I almost remember having go on during break in but I may be mistaken.

and as far as sentences and punctuation go well
