View Full Version : Speaker mounting depth

Shiitt!!!! I just brought some speakers... for the front and don't realize the mounting depth needs to be almost 3"!!! will it fit??? =(

Its 3 inches for top mounting and 2.6 inches for bottom mounting. Will it fit? What is the size of the stock speakers? Hurry cuz i need to maybe cancel the order?

don't worry I can't recall maybe in the newbie secion but anyhow we can always make them fit.

you can always take your door apart and fine out.....

Three things about our front doors:
1) There is almost 6" of mounting depth is you use the factory spacer
2) There is almost enough room for an 8" wofer if your not afraid to cut metal
3) The design of the front doors is horrible for getting great sound quality. Most people have to use tons of EQ to get a decent SQ score.

Have you tried it? Seriously, it's the easiest door panel I've ever removed...I just got out there and started pulling it apart...

I wasn't sure if there were any screws holdoing it on. On older cars they have a few screws but on the celi I couldn't find any. So your just saying that the door just pops off, nothing to unscrew.

There are 6 screw. Two under the round plastic covers towards the front. On under the latch. On under the arm rest. And two on the bottom of the panel.
