i have this 96ish eclipse in my apt building, and he wanted to roll the other night but it had just rained/snowed so i didnt try anything, and i can tell that its obviously a turbo, but is there any defining points on that car besides the badge, that will tell me if its a gsx or gs-t w/o asking the guy. thanks i appreciate it alot guys. ill tell ya the race story too if its a gs-t.

yeah

the 96 turbos have a gray underbody/ground effect to them that the nt's didnt.

also you can tell if its awd or not by looking underneath the car, there will be a rear dif if its awd.

Even if it's a GSX you can still win if it's stock. Well provided you have a 6speed GT-S.

And the other way around you could still lose badly if its a GST. Mods take very well to those cars.

I know that. But with the amount of eclipses out there your chances are good they are stock. I've really never actually see a modded eclipse. Well other then some altezza taillights.

Most stock turboed cars take well to mods though.

Theres still stock turbo eclipses? lol, Maybe the convertibles ;)

u still can achieve 13's cars with "stock" turbo ;) ....so just because it's a stock turbo does not mean it's slow :D

check is its stock (if it is, then its a close race) if its not << even with a drop in filter its gonna smoke u !!!!!

If it's stock you should beat a GST with a 6 speed pretty handily.

Dont pass on bad info man.. Both cars are low 15 second high 14 second cars driven well in stock form.

he does know that the Gst and gsx are both turbo and the that the gsx is awd right? and i dont think that there is any way to distinguish the 2 besides the sticker from just looking at them, i may be wrong though.

all i wanted to know was wether there was a distinct way to tell besides the sticker, but i walked all over him anyways, it was from a roll at about 40 and i dropped into 2nd and took care of him, oh yeah by the way im runnin 14.8 with cai. thanks guys appreciatet the help.
