Every time I put on reverse. It makes a crack noise. It sounds like when you miss shift. Then I took my car back to the dealer. The man say everytime you put on reverse ,you have to put it in first gear first ,then put on reverse. It really works. I wonder if this happen to anyboby. Or should i take my car back to change the trans. ??????????????????/

reverse doesnt have a synchro on it so unless you are completely stopped and the clutch is all the way to the floor its going to grind going into gear.. putting it in first and then reverse does help the issue supposedly..

Or, you could never let out the clutch after starting the car and before putting it in reverse, or wait a little bit if you do let it out in neutral. Putting it in first stops the gear from spinning, so since reverse doesn't have a synchro, if you don't stop it with a 1-6 synchro, or letting it slow down to a stop after a several seconds, the gears grinding will.

Sounds reasonable. Sometimes in my 5sp Corona I gotta stick the thing in 5th before shifting into reverse to make it easier to get into gear.
