Yep you're wrong. IPT's True Mold carbon covers are COMPLETELY carbon fiber. No fiberglass/plastic with a CF (or worse, carbon-look) sheet glassed over it. This is the real deal, and fitment is perfect. I've never regretted a penny I spent on this stuff, and for a show car it really stands out. At a recent show I placed in, there were alot of attempts made at carbon pieces in the engine bay, but nothing stood up to the quality of IPT's engine covers.
These are even better than the Vision carbon covers we import from Japan for Hondas (altho Vision covers use a tighter carbon weave).
...but it's nice that you have an alternative Tung. This is something new that I've not seen before. Who makes it?

Tung or IPT ... is it possible for 1 of you to please develop a gauge pod full A-pillar that can hold 2 gauges?
Also one for the right side but without the gauge pods so it will match.
Thanks

correction acknowledged. is it true though, that some of ipt's cf pieces (ie. fuse cover, ecu cover) are not complete replacements? i remember hearing that you put it on top of the stock piece. also, i second the idea about the gauge pod.

Yep, that's correct! The only complete full replacements in the IPT kit is:
1) Engine cover
2) Passenger side engine cover
3) Front engine cover
The ECU cover, Fuse box cover, and Relay cover go over the stock pieces. However, the pieces are so strong precise that I actually mistook the ECU cover as a replacement also and bolted that down without the stock cover in place. ;)

More like $100 more, you list it at 279. on your site. I really want a true CF pice but that price is too high.
Still waiting for the price to drop.

I hear what your saying. I was hoping to pick up some of these CF pieces over the holidays (pre-price increase) now I will have to pass. I cannot justify the price for an item that will be essentially just sitting in my engine bay. IPT, perhaps you can clarify. When you decided to drop the prices on your CF engine parts some 6+ months ago, you said you did so because you were able to optimize your economies of scale, ergo making the parts cheaper to produce. Has something changed since then?
